The premier domestic tournament of India, Ranji Trophy is underway currently as the fans are enjoying the 2019-20 edition of the tournament. The domestic stars use this as a platform to break into the national team and, one such player named Sarfaraz Khan gained the limelight with his triple century which was followed by a double century.

The former Royal Challengers Bangalore player broke several records with his world-class batting however, the Mumbai team failed to qualify for the next round. Talking about Sarfaraz’s heroics, he showcased his T20 playing abilities with a unique shot in the Ranji Trophy.

This incident happened during Mumbai’s second innings of their match against Saurashtra. A win in this match could have helped the most successful team in Ranji history stay alive in the competition however, they ended up in a loss. In the second innings though Khan tried his best.

In the 49th over of the innings which was bowled by Chirag Jani, Khan scooped one over the wicket-keeper standing behind named Snell Patel as the ball went straight towards the boundary line. The fans in Rajkot were overjoyed after seeing Sarfaraz play this incredible shot.

Usually, this shot was played by Sri Lankan all-rounder and opening batsman, Tillakaratne Dilshan. He made this type of shot famous by playing it in T20 matches. The Indian official broadcasters of the 2011 World Cup had once made it popular in the country as the name ‘Pallu Scoop’ with an extremely creative ad.
