New Zealand batting first scored 239 for 8 wickets in 50 overs. Due to rain, Team India got a chance to bat on Reserve Day. Lokesh Rahul, Rohit Sharma and captain Virat Kohli were all out by scoring one run each.
The condition was that Team India had lost three wickets for 5 runs. Four wickets of India had fallen by 24 runs. Rishabh Pant (32), Hardik Pandya (32), Dhoni and Jadeja tried their best to bring India back into the match. But after Dhoni’s runout, Team India’s hopes of victory were also over.
