Former Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore player, KB Arun Karthik took part in a chat with Sportskeeda recently where he spoke about the difference between the two team managements and how Chennai blindly trusts MS Dhoni.
Chennai Super Kings has been a very successful team in the IPL as they have made it to the top four of the points table in every season that they have played. The south Indian franchise has lifted the IPL title thrice while they have also finished at the runners-up position five times.
On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore has not been able to win a single IPL trophy despite having a solid lineup every year. The Virat Kohli-led outfit has finished runners-up three times while they finished at the last position in IPL 2019.
Arun Karthik is a Karnataka-based cricketer who played for Chennai from 2008-10 while he became a part of RCB in 2011. Talking about the difference between the ideologies of the two franchises, Karthik said:
“CSK was a very close and tightly knit unit. There’s not much happening on the outside, the team has very few decision-makers. I played for India Cements and I am employed with them, they know how to run their cricket. They leave everything to MS Dhoni to make all the decisions. They trust MS Dhoni completely and leave it all to him. CSK is a very relaxed atmosphere.”

Thus, in this manner, Karthik distinguished CSK and MS Dhoni as the better team and captain, respectively.
