Former Kochi Tuskers Kerala fast bowler, Sreesanth has supported Suresh Raina and Manpreet Gony’s plea to allow the Indian cricketers in foreign T20 competitions. The discarded cricketers have argued that the Indian cricket stars who play in the IPL only do not have any work in the off season.

First class cricket players who do not get IPL contracts also suffer from the same problem. They have to just work on their skills during the long off season. Hence, a majority of the players feel that BCCI should allow them to play in the foreign T20 leagues.

The IPL governing council does not allow the Indian players to play in the other competitions. However, of late, BCCI has relaxed this protocol.

Talking to Sportskeeda in an Instagram live session, the 2011 World Cup winner stated:

“I completely agree with him (Suresh Raina), and I’m very sure that the BCCI will also agree with him. While IPL players are well taken care of, a lot of cricketers… first-class cricketers that do not play IPL, the season is very small for them.”

When asked if he would take part in the competitions outside India, the right-arm pace bowler replied:

“I’d love to play (in BBL and CPL) because it is important to keep playing cricket.”

Thus, in this manner, another former Indian cricketer has voiced his opinion on the ongoing tussle between the Indian players and the board. It will be intriguing to see if BCCI allows them to play other tournaments.
