Mitchell Marsh suffered an ankle injury in the team’s first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Sunrisers said on their official Twitter handle,

“Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out due to injury. We wish him a speedy recovery. Jason Holder will replace him for #Dream11IPL 2020.”

Marsh got his ankle injury on Monday against RCB when he came to bowl the fifth over in the first match of the Sunrisers. The 28-year-old bowler, however, was able to bowl only four balls as his right ankle twisted while stopping Aaron Finch’s drive on his second ball. After this, he could bowl only two more balls and stumbled out of the ground.

After the match in the post-match presentation, Hyderabad’s captain David Warner hinted on the injury of Mitchell Marsh. On commenting on the injury of Mitchell Marsh he said, “doesn’t look great” and now it is confirmed.

For his replacement, Sunrisers Hyderabad has called West Indies’s player Jason Holder. Jason Holder played his last IPL match in 2016 for Kolkata Knight Riders against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

As of now, Jason Holder has played only 11 IPL matches so it will be interesting to see whether he will be able to fill the gap due to Jason Holder.
