Source: Twitter India

After losing the first two ODIs and handing New Zealand an unassailable lead of 2-0, India will fight for respect in the third ODI at Mount Maunganui. Virat Kohli and co. have been outplayed by the hosts in both of the matches played so far. They lost the match courtesy of Ross Taylor’s heroics in the second innings and then Kyle Jamieson mauled the visitors on his ODI debut in the next match.

The third ODI match will also mark the return of Kane Williamson hence, the things will get worse for India. They will have to play out of their skins to ensure that they are not whitewashed in the 50-overs series. They had earlier whitewashed New Zealand 5-0 in the T20I series. So, the home side will try to revenge that loss with a whitewash of their own.

Here is all you need to know about the third ODI between New Zealand and India.

WEATHER REPORT | NEW ZEALAND VS INDIA, THIRD ODI

There are zero chances for rain as it expected to be sunny in Mount Maunganui during the match day. The temperature will be around 16 degrees Celsius and there will be a lot of humidity as well hence, the players will enjoy playing in this condition.

PITCH REPORT | NEW ZEALAND VS INDIA, THIRD ODI

The pitch at Bay Oval assisted the bowlers in the fifth T20I. It looked like the ball was sticking in the surface hence, the teams will look to bat first and later defend the target that they set in the second innings. The main reason behind that is that the wicket will get slower as the game progresses.
