It’s the time of happy moments for the Indian fans around the world who have witnessed the series win against visitors (England) by 3-1 to finally confirmed the spot into the finals of the World Test Championship.
Earlier it was decided that the WTC final will be held at Lord’s but as per some new developing ICC is deciding to move the WTC final outside the Lord’s.
The venue [for the World Test Championship Final] will be announced soon. Lord’s is not the venue the ICC is planning for. ICC will be advised by the England and Wales Cricket Board and its own medical health professionals to decide on the venue for the final. There could be a case of creating a similar bio-secure bubble as the ECB had for the last home summer,” an ICC source told TOI.
In the final of the ICC Test Championship, New Zealand will play against India on June 18-22 in 2022. New Zealand has hosted India for 2 test match series in 2020 and New Zealand whitewashed the Indian team with 2-0.
But after that Indian team won the Test series in Australia by 2-1 (4) and defeated England at home by 3-1 (4). With these two series win India finished at the top of the ICC World Test Championship league.
And as of now, the Indian team is also ranked number 1 in the ICC test ranking followed by New Zealand only. So it is going to be an interesting final of the first World Test championship.
