England fast bowler Joffra Archer has described Indin batsman KL Rahul as the toughest batsman in T20 against whom he has bowled till now. In the last few seasons of the IPL, there has been a head-to-head collision between the two players.
Playing for Kings 11 Punjab, KL Rahul scored 659 and 593 runs in the year 2018 and 2019 respectively. KL Rahul was also second in the list of most run in IPL 2019. He also scored one century and 6 half-centuries in the last IPL season.
Jofra Archer says KL Rahul had targeted me once or twice in IPL, and he is the most difficult batsman to bowl for me. Archer said these things during a live chat with his teammate Ish Sodhi of Rajasthan Royals.
“Got to say, KL Rahul, he got the better of me a couple of times when we played Kings XI Punjab. Definitely him, it was annoying to bowl to him,”
In the 38th match of the IPL of 2018, KL Rahul scored 84 runs in 54 balls. Rahul hit Archer with two sixes and three fours and ended the match. On the basis of Rahul’s batting, Punjab also won this match by 6 wickets.
On this, Ish Sodhi also tells how well KL Rahul performed during New Zealand and India T20 series.
“Yea he played well against us in the T20I series in New Zealand, taking advantage of the short boundaries.”
