Team India tour of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe due to the Coronavirus epidemic has been canceled. The Indian team was to go to Sri Lanka on 24th June, where they had to play three ODIs and T20 series.
Apart from this, in August, the Indian team was going to tour Zimbabwe but now it has been canceled. The BCCI has given the information about the cancellation of the tour by tweeting on its official Twitter handle.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah in a press release says,
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday announced that the Indian Cricket Team will not travel to Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe owing to the current threat of COVID-19. “
Since March all kinds of cricket activities in India have been closed. The 13th season of the IPL has also been postponed this year due to an epidemic.

Although BCCI officials are once again preparing to restore cricket in the country. But w ithout the government order, the game cannot be started.
Earlier, the government approved the opening of the stadium and sports complex by relaxing the lockdown. But in view of the virus infection, the BCCI has not allowed its players to train in the stadium.

At the same time, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has made it clear in a letter that he is preparing to restore cricket soon. The issue will also be discussed with the central and state governments.
