After winning the ODI series the Australia team were again the favorites in the T20l series. But the Australian team got the major blows when players like David Warner, Aaron Finch, and Mitchell Starc have been pulled out of the T20l series. This made things completely difficult for Australia in the T20I series.

While from the team India point of view it’s not a victory from the kind of the standards set by Virat Kohli. In both the T20l games it was the victory from the edge rather than being dominating. The Australian team losing the T20I series against India was a bit surprising after winning the ODI series.

For Australia team management’s decision played a big factor in this series. Australia’s team management has been completely absurd from choosing the wrong middle-order batsman to giving captaincy to Mathew Wade.

Not giving captaincy to Steve Smith in 2nd T20I

Steve Smith was there but Australian team management chooses not to give the captaincy to him in absence of Aaron Finch in 2nd T20I. Steve Smith has a great record as a captain for Australia. But it looks like Australia is not ready to forgive him for his ball-tampering incident. The Australian team is going through a transition and they need a captain who can handle the pressure and emerge out as a winning captain.

Although the second T20l was the perfect time to gave the captaincy to Steve Smith. But Australian team management handed the captaincy to Matthew Wade. That match was a must-win match for Australia to keep the series alive. But the Australian team ended with a defeat and the Indian took an unassailable lead by 2-0.

In the first two T20l games, it looked like the Australian team performed without any strategy. In the whole series, it looked like the Australian team was dependent on a few players to win the games. But after the Indian team took a lead by 2-0 it was all over for the Australian team.

However, in the 3rd T20I Australian team managed to get a w in in this series after Aaron Finch came back in the team. With this Australian team was able to lose the series on some high note before going into the Test series.
