Pakistan bowling coach Waqar Younis has ended a long-drawn tweet on social media from his former cricket teammate Shahid Afridi and former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir.
Gambhir and Afridi got to be sensible, says Waqar Younis
Between Gambhir and Afridi, there has been a long war of words against each other on topics ranging from politics to cricket careers on social media.
In his autobiography too, Afridi wrote sarcasm at Gambhir, “He behaves as if he has the qualities of Don Bradman and James Bond. His attitude is aggressive but his records are not good. ”Gambhir had said in response that he would take Afridi to a psychiatrist himself.
Afridi and Gambhir got to be sensible
Waqar, who has been monitoring the fiery reactions of both of them on social media, said that they should resolve the issue jointly. He said,
“The banter between Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi has been going on for a while now. I think they both got to be smart, sensible, and calm down. It has been going on for way too long. My advice to them is to maybe catch up somewhere around the world and talk it out if you cannot really calm it down”
