Former New Zealand captain and Bangladesh spin bowling coach Daniel Vettori has asked the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to pay a part of his salary to the board’s low-paid employees.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said Vettori has been officially informed of his decision. Nizamuddin Chowdhury told the newspaper ‘Prothom Alo’ to be published from Dhaka. He has officially informed the Cricket Steering Committee about this.

“Vettori has said that we should donate a specific part of his salary to the BCB’s low-income staff. He has officially informed the cricket operations committee”

However, the amount donated by the 41-year-old has not been disclosed. According to the ESPN Cricinfo report, he is the highest-paid member of Bangladesh coaching staff. He is paid $ 250,000 for a 100-day contract. His contract is up to the ICC T20 World Cup to be held this year.
