Ben Stokes will captain like Virat Kohli: Joe Root

The first Test series after the Coronavirus is to be between England and the West Indies

. In the first match of this series of three Test matches, the captaincy will be in the hands of Ben Stokes.

Because Joe Root’s wife is going to be a mother and that is why he will stay with her. Meanwhile, England captain Joe Root has said that he sees the images of Virat Kohli in Ben Stokes and believes that this all-rounder will lead the team on the field like him. Joe Root said in Sony Ten’s ‘Pit Stop’,

“You know Virat Kohli goes out there and performs and expects everyone to go and do the same within the same team and I imagine that’s how Ben Stokes will go about his business,”

Ben Stoke has huge respect

Earlier Ben Stokes said he is ready to take the responsibility as the captain of England Team and took the challenge of “the Scottie Pippen to Joe Root’s Michael Jordan”. On this Joe Root says,

“I think Ben is better… Ben would make a better ‘Michael Jordan’ than me. He (Stokes) has a great quality, leads from the front, just as Michael Jordan did you know,”

“He’s already a big leader in the team as the vice-captain…There’s a huge amount of respect for him. He has obviously accomplished so much within the game and within Test cricket that he’s more than well enough equipped to do a really good job, Root further added.

This series is much awaited as this is going to be the first International series after the lockdown from mid-march due to the coronavirus.
