Famous Hindi commentator, Aakash Chopra has followed the trend of publishing all-time XIs as he has picked his best XI from the history of the T20 World Cup. He kept an interesting condition in his team and that was that he can pick only one player from one nation.

Since he picked four solid T20 batsmen at the top, he decided to leave out Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from the team. It is worth noting that Kohli and Sharma are the two leading run-getters in T20I history. Still, Chopra ignored them and went for Jasprit Bumrah in his team.

Another interesting pick that he made was of Sandeep Lamichhane. The Nepalese leg-spinner is still finding his foot in the world of international cricket. However, he found a place in Aakash’s all-time XI.

The former Indian batsman has picked David Warner and Jos Buttler as his openers while Colin Munro and Babar Azam are present in the middle order along with star South African batsman, AB de Villiers. Shakib Al Hasan and Rashid Khan are the two spin-bowling all-rounders of the team while Chopra has picked Andre Russell ahead of Chris Gayle from West Indies.

. It is interesting to note that under Malinga’s leadership, Sri Lanka lost a T20I series 3-0 against India in January.
