The 13th season of the Indian Premier League has been postponed indefinitely due to the Coronavirus epidemic. This season of IPL was supposed to start on March 29 but it could not happen.
In such a situation, as per a source of BCCI, it has been said that IPL is also being considered for organizing outside the country. However, organizing the tournament outside the country will be the last option of the board.
According to a report by the news agency ANI, a BCCI official said,
“If that’s the only option then we will consider it. We have done it in the past also and we can do it again but the first preference will be to host it in India,”
“Any decision on the organization of the IPL will be taken only after the ICC meeting to be held on June 10,” he said. This meeting will decide the future of the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia this year.
IPL has been organized outside the country twice. Earlier IPL has been played in South Africa in 2009 and in UAE in 2014.

In such a situation, if the situation in the country does not improve due to the Corona epidemic, then BCCI can consider this option but it will be their last option.
At the same time, cricket pundits believe that the ICC T20 World Cup is an international event and should be postponed. At the same time, host Australia is also not in a position to organize this tournament. In such a situation, if the T20 World Cup is canceled in the ICC meeting, then the way will be cleared for the IPL.
