IPL 2020: England Women’s cricketers Kate Cross and Alexandra Hartley engage in a hilarious CSK-RCB banter on Twitter

The Indian Premier League is probably the most popular cricket league in the world right now. The tournament has shattered many records in terms of fan following and viewership this year. Unfortunately, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the BCCI had to shift IPL 2020 outside India.

The United Arab Emirates hosted the competition, where the Mumbai Indians, the Delhi Capitals, the Sunrisers Hyderabad, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore emerged as the top four teams. The defending champions have advanced to the summit clash after a phenomenal victory over the Capitals.

In the Eliminator match between the Royal Challengers and the Orange Army, the fans got to see a similar result as the IPL 2016 final. The Chennai Super Kings had been knocked out of the tournament in the league stage itself. And the RCB fans trolled CSK’s fans a lot on social media because of their ouster.

Yesterday, the Super Kings’ fans got a chance to troll their rivals because of the match’s result. A couple of female cricketers from England, namely Kate Cross and Alexandra Hartley had engaged in CSK-RCB banters throughout the IPL 2020 season.

Hartley, who supports the Virat Kohli-led franchise, sent out a heart-touching message on Twitter. She wrote:

“We made one hell of a game out of it. @RCBTweets Will, we ever win a title? #IPL2020 #SRHvsRCB.”

Replying to her compatriot’s tweet, Kate Cross-posted an MS Dhoni meme, where he could be seen saying the words ‘Definitely Not.’ This response was to the question if the Royal Challengers Bangalore would win a single IPL title.

The action continues in IPL 2020 Playoffs

Talking about IPL 2020, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will battle the Delhi Capitals in the 2nd qualifying match. It will be interesting to see if the Orange Army could continue their winning momentum against DC or will the Capitals set up another clash with the defending champions.
