The Indian Premier League (IPL) has brought all the cricketers of the world together as there are no longer international boundaries between the overseas players and their Indian counterparts. Players like Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga, Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle have become household names in India.
Another player who achieved a lot of success in the IPL was the dashing opener from Australia, Matthew Hayden. The left-handed batsman played only for Chennai Super Kings in his brief IPL career. During that course, he once won the elusive IPL Orange Cap award.
Also, he formed a solid bond with the team’s middle-order batsman, Suresh Raina. The Uttar Pradesh-based batsman is known for his kind heart, and this is the reason why he formed such a close relationship with Hayden. During an Instagram live session with the Chennai-based franchise, Hayden called Raina as his ‘brother from another mother.’
He said:
“It’s almost love at first sight with Suresh Raina. I always felt he had a great connection to Chennai (CSK). I felt he’s so welcoming, he’s a sweet human being, he’s got a great heart.”
“He’s a great father, he’s happily married. His kids are the center of his life, and he’s a big name talent. As a cricketer, I don’t think anyone’s hit a sweet cricket ball than Suresh. I just love hanging out with Suresh.”

Thus, in this manner, Hayden appreciated the kind and good nature of Raina.
