Rohit Sharma holds the record of the highest score in an inning of an ODI. He scored 264 runs in his destructive inning against Sri Lanka in Eden Garde, Kolkata on 13th November 2014. In this inning, he scored 264 runs in just 173 balls before he got out the last ball of the inning. He smashed 33 fours and 9 sixes in that inning.

India posted 404/5 in that match whereas the Sri Lanka team could only score 251 runs. This record of Rohit Sharma is still unbroken and it is saying that he can only break this record. Let’s see who is going to break this record and when.

2) Three Double Hundreds in ODI

The man of big scores, Rohit Sharma has three double hundred on his name in One Day International. The first double hundred cames against Australia in 2013 at Bengaluru when he scored 209 runs in 158 balls with the help of 12 fours and 16 sixes.

He scored his second and third double hundred against Sri Lanka. His second double hundred came in 2014 when he scored the highest ODI score in the cricket of 264 runs in just 173 balls at Eden Garden.

Rohit Sharma scored his third hundred also against Sri Lanka. On 13th December 2017 at Mohali, Rohit Sharma scored 208 not out as a captain and became the first player to have 3 double hundred in ODI.

We can say with this record, Rohit Sharma loves to play against the Sri Lankan team. His 2 of the 3 double century in ODI came against Sri Lanka which includes the mammoth inning of 264 runs and now this record.

Rohit Sharma holds the record of the joint-fastest hundred in T20I (With David Miller against Bangladesh) and this hundred came against Sri Lanka at Indore on 22nd December 2017. He completed his century in just 35 balls. In this inning, he scored 118 runs in just 43 balls. He hit 12 fours and 10 sixes in this inning.

Rohit Sharma has this unique record of completing a century with a six in all three formats. He achieved this unique record after completing his sixth test century with a six against South Africa on the first day of the 3rd test match of South Africa’s tour to India in 2019.
