India’s Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara believes that day-night Test will be a different challenge for batsmen as the speed and color of the pink ball is quite different from the red ball.

This will be the first time India will play any Day-Night test match overseas. Indian Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara talks about the challenges of Pink on Sony Ten Pit Stop’. Pujara said,
“First of all, to speak about the Day and Night Test or (to play) with the pink ball, I think it is different from what we are used to with the red ball,”
Although it is still the same format, the (pink) ball’s pace and visibility is very different. As a batsman you need to get used to it.” he added.t. ”
He said that for players accustomed to playing with SG red ball, it will be very challenging to play with a pink ball. With this Pujara also feels that the day-night test will be a challenge for the younger players. He said,
“It won’t be very easy, because you need to have such net sessions. To do that at the domestic level, it is not easy. If any upcoming player is coming, he is used to playing with the SG red ball in Ranji Trophy, so when you play him for India, he is ready for this format. Pink ball needs adequate train ing,”
The four-Test series between India and Australia will start from December 3 in Gabba, Brisbane. India won the Test series 2–1 in 2018–19. It was India’s first test series win over Australian soil in 71 years.

Pujara was successful in earning the Man of the Series award by scoring the most runs. However, Warner and Smith were not in the Australian team then. Both of them were banned for a year at the time due to ball-tampering.
