Former Australian batsman Michael Hussey has said that if India has to beat Australia then the Indian team needs to stay in its full form. India is scheduled to visit Australia later this year where it will play the four-Test matches.
India created history by defeating Australia at home in the captaincy of Virat Kohli in 2018-19. Indian team became the first team in Asia to do so.
However, Australia did not have two big names Steve Smith and David Warner in that series. At that time they were banned for a year due to ball-tampering.
Hussey said on the Sony Ten’s Pit Stop chat show,
“Obviously, bringing back Smith and Warner into the team is huge. But the guys that were exposed and perhaps probably weren’t quite ready at the time from two years ago have now managed to get a number of Test matches under their belt…India are going to be up for a stiff challenge in Australia this summer.”

“Put that with a world-class bowling attack in Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood and P attinson as well with Nathan Lyon. I think the team looks extremely strong, they are playing some excellent Test cricket. We know India is a world-class team. But they have to be at their best to beat the Australian team on home soil,
The first match of the series will start on December 3 in Gabba. After that in the second match from December 11 to 15 India and Australia will meet in a Day-night test match at Adelaide. The 3rd and 4th test match will be held at Melbourne and Sydney respectively.
