3 reasons why India lost the first T20I against Bangladesh

India lost the first match against Bangladesh by 7 wickets in Delhi. This was the maiden victory for Bangladesh against Indian National Cricket Team in T20. Before this, in all 9 encounters Indian National Cricket team defeated the Bangladesh team.

India batting first managed to score 148 runs in 20 overs after losing the toss. But this was just a par score to defend at this ground. Bangladeshi wicket-keeper batsman set up the tack to chase this target. He remained not out till last in his inning of 60 runs.

In the end, Target was not good enough for the hosts to defend and they lost the first match of the series. Here we take a look at the 3 possible reasons why India lost the match.

1. Shikhar Dhawan run out shifted the momentum

Shikhar Dhawan was the only batsman who looking in good touch in yesterday’s match. He scored 40 runs before he got run out due to Rishabh Pant’s fault.

Shikhar Dhawan could have added more runs to the Indian score if he didn’t get run out.

All this happened in the 15th over of the first inning, When Rishabh Pant knocked the ball gently towards the mid-wicket. Both the players completed the first run with ease. But after taking the first run, Rishabh Pant called Shikhar Dhawan for the 2nd run but he sends him back after Dhawan came in the middle of the pitch. Shikhar Dhawan was well settled. He could have added more runs but he made walk towards the pavilion.
