The two often praise each other. Nasser Hussain believes that former Indian captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has played a key role in making India the world powerhouse of cricket. Recently a fun banter is going on on social media between the two former players.
Sourav Ganguly on Saturday shared a collage from his official Twitter account. He shared this collage while celebrating 24 years of his Test debut. Ganguly made his Test debut at Lord’s on 20 June 1996 against England.

Sourav Ganguly made it even more special by scoring a century on his debut. Ganguly scored 131 runs in the first innings of that match. With this, he became the 10th batsman to score a century in his first Test match.
Ganguly, however, made his international debut in the one-day match played against West Indies in 1992. He could score only three runs in this match and stay out for the next four years.
Funny banter between Ganguly and Nasser Hussain
Sharing this collage, Ganguly wrote, “Made my debut today .. life’s best moment”
Great moment, Dada. From a simple celebration on debut to not so simple one six years later at Lord’s balcony—these are special memories 😊
After that Sourav Ganguly trolled Nasser Hussain, sharing a picture of him before the final of the NatWest Trophy. While sharing the picture, he wrote, “Hi Nass .. when was this picture taken .. losing memory with old age Thinking face…need my mates help”
Nasser wrote on this, “Or just waiting for you at the toss again.” Ganguly on this said, I like the toss one better… very smart and humour intact..stay well mate ..stay safe…
I like the toss one better 🤔.. very smart and humour intact .😄..stay well mate ..stay safe ….
Significantly, in the final of NatWest in 2002, India had to chase 326 against England and but Mohammad Kaif and Yuvraj put India close to victory with a big partnership. The winning run was scored by Zaheer Khan. Ganguly waved his shirt off the Lord’s balcony and celebrated the victory. This extremely popular scene took place.
