BCCI can organize IPL 2020 in September but have to lose England Series

Due to the worldwide epidemic coronavirus, many countries have gone on lockdown these days, due to which the sports world is completely stalled. Due to this epidemic, many big sports events have been postponed.

The IPL 2020, the biggest domestic tournament for Indian cricket, has also been postponed by the BCCI for an indefinite period. Although fans are still hopeful about organizing this tournament. But there is no hope of organizing any tournament before August in these situations.

In such a situation, the BCCI hopes that if all goes well, it can organize the IPL in September. The tournament was earlier scheduled to be held from March 29. But it is postponed for an indefinite time due to the coronavirus.

It is worth mentioning that if the BCCI decides to cancel the IPL 2020, then it may have to lose crores. While if it decides to hold it in September then BCCI will have to lose the series of T20 matches against England. England team is scheduled to visit India in September for 3 ODI’s and 3 T20Is matches.

England will leave their country for India on 16 September according to the schedule. In such a situation, if the BCCI has to conduct IPL in September, then it will have to convince the ECB to postpone the series as 11 players of England Cricket Board have to participate in the IPL.
